XC-40 Gas Sampler The Apex XC-40 Source Sampler is a durable, lightweight meter console ideal for Method 4, Determination of the Moisture Content of Stack Gas. It contains a Dry Gas Meter, Rotameter, Fine and Coarse flow controls, up to 6 Type-K thermocouple inputs, a digital thermometer readout, vacuum gauge, and digital timer, all mounted in a lightweight molded case.
Method 4 Summary: Stack gas is extracted at a constant rate no greater then 21 lpm and a minimum volume of 600 liters. The moisture is removed from the sample stream and determined volumetrically or gravimetrically. Moisture content is determined by dividing the volume of water vapor collected by the total volume of gas collected. (1 ml water equals 1.333 liters gas). Download the printable flyer
