William H. Howe Announces Retirement & Appoints New CEO of Apex Instruments
William H. Howe, President and Founder of Apex Instruments, Inc., announces his retirement after over 35 years in the source sampling equipment industry.

Howe founded Apex Instruments in 1988 as a manufacturer of residential wood heater testing equipment. The company is located in Fuquay-Varina, NC and serves as a worldwide market leader in the source sampling equipment industry.
He is leaving Apex Instruments to launch Merge Scientific, a manufacturer of glassware focused on laboratory markets.

“I have enjoyed my tenure as President at Apex, watching the company grow to serve worldwide markets in the environmental industry,” said Howe. “I am proud to say Apex continues to work closely with the U.S. EPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) and operates at the forefront of product design, method evaluation, and implementation for controlling hazardous air pollutants.”
Howe has named Miles Wright the new Chief Executive Officer for Apex Instruments.
Howe said, “I am confident that under the guidance and leadership of Miles, Apex will continue to manufacture leading-edge equipment.”
Wright has stepped into his new appointment with anticipation and vision for the company.
He has over 30 years of startup and entrepreneurial expertise in a variety of industries ranging from publishing to pharma to nanotechnology.
