About Jerry
Mr. William T. “Jerry” Winberry, Jr., Principal Environmental Scientist, EnviroTech Solutions, Cary, North Carolina, 27511, had more than 30 years experience in air pollution monitoring and control evaluation. This includes more than 25 years of experience and leadership in environmental training. He specialized in instrumental ambient monitoring for air toxics, instrumental and manual source testing, indoor air pollution sampling and analysis, and related policy issues.
Using his field experience, he developed training courses and guidance documents covering air toxics, ambient air monitoring, hazardous waste management, and stack testing. In addition, Mr. Winberry presented various instrumental training courses for the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA), the Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Materials Association (HWHMA), the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the American Chemical Society (ACS), and EPA’s Air Pollution Training Institute (APTI). He has also presented international training courses in India, South Africa, New Zealand, China, Australia, Israel, Trinidad, and Bangladesh. Mr. Winberry helped develop satellite workshops for North Carolina State University (NCSU), Industrial Extension Service (IES) on continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMs), advance stack testing, fugitive emission monitoring, landfill gas monitoring and ambient air HAPs monitoring as part of EPA’s Air Pollution Distant Learning Network (APDLN). Mr. Winberry was a faculty member of EPA’s APTI over the last twenty-five (25) years.
