XC-260 CONSOLE

$6,258.00

The Apex XC-260 Manual Source Sampler is a low-price, portable, field-proven meter console that is easy to use, and ideal for sampling mercury emissions based on CFR 40, Part 60, Method 30B.

The heart of the Apex Instruments manual system is the XC-260 Source Sampler, a precision meter console used for collecting mercury emissions. The average mercury concentration for the sampling period is determined by using the sample volumes measured by the dry gas meters and the results of the sorbent trap analysis.

Three flow rate configurations are offered; 100-1000 cubic centimeters per minute, 200-2400 cubic centimeters per minute, or 200-4000 cubic centimeters per minute.

All applicable components are rated 120 V at 60 Hz or 240 V at 50 Hz.

Description

The XC-260 Mercury Source Sampler is designed for performance testing, baseline studies, and profiling.  This low-cost, easy-to-use, portable, and field-proven audit system is ideal for sampling mercury emissions based on Reference Method 30B of the U.S. EPA Appendix K, 40 CFR, Part 60.

The XC-260 Mercury Audit System is used for manual sampling of gaseous mercury emissions over a period of several minutes to several hours. The system extracts two separate flue gas samples through co-located sorbent traps attached to the end of a heated sample probe.

Mercury is collected in the sorbent traps for a predetermined sampling period.  The traps are easily transported for analysis.  The average mercury concentration for the sampling period is determined by using the sample volumes measured by the dry gas meters and the results of the sorbent trap analysis.  Sample data is manually recorded at the beginning and end of each sample collection period as well as periodically during the collection period.  All temperature, pressure, and flow measurement data are conveniently displayed and can be easily entered into a spreadsheet for analysis.

The XC-260 source sampler is also ideal for sorbent tube sampling for Method 18, the measurement of gaseous organic compound emissions by gas chromatography.
